Suggested Gifts:
*Toys: Small cars, balls, balloons, inflatable toys, punch balls, dolls, stuffed animals, plastic kazoos, recorders, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A Sketch®, small jigsaw puzzles, deck of playing cards (remember they speak French, so games that rely on the English language should be avoided), play-doh®, sunglasses, slinky®, jacks, small books in French, picture books, alphabet books, etc. *Electronic items: (remember to include extra batteries) small am/fm radios, flashlight, small toys that light up or make noise. *School supplies: pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons, markers, stamps and ink pad sets, coloring books, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, math flash cards, alphabet flash cards, etc. *Hygiene items: toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, comb, washcloth, etc.
*Other:
hard candy, lollipops, mints, gum, ball
caps, toy jewelry, hair-clips, watches, religious items/jewelry, etc.
X-Do Not Include:
Used items;
War related toys-guns, knives, etc.; Chocolate or perishable food
items; Liquids-shampoo, lotion, bubbles, etc.; Medicines-vitamins,
cough drops, etc.; Breakable items-mirrors, china dolls, snow globes,
etc. How to Pack your Gift Box
1. Find an empty shoebox. You can wrap it - lid separately. 2. Fill out the label on the back of this brochure (for a girl, boy, or either, and an age range). Cut out the label and tape it on the top of your box. 3. Fill the box with a variety of gifts using the list to the right as a guide. You may include a picture of yourself or family.
4. IMPORTANT: Please enclose a check for $5.00 or more in the enclosed envelope and put it inside your box to help cover shipping costs. Checks should be made payable to: “St. Cecilia Haiti Christmas Boxes” (please, no cash). Multiple boxes may be paid for with one check ($5.00 each). Place a rubber band around box/lid and drop off at St. Cecilia Church. |
