A school made of palm fronds, needed a building for school and church. |

Dells Lumber donated the lumber and we shipped it to Thiotte on a sea
container. The wood was stored at a house in the town and when we
arrived then carried up piece by piece about 1/4 mile up the mountain.
|
|

The tin for the roof was purchased in Haiti and stored at the same man's house
and carried up piece by piece.
|

We had sent money to buy cement, so the walls were completed when we arrived
and ready for the roof. Mike Hess was our foreman and Yvan Jean was the
Haitian equivalent. |
|

The Trusses were
assembled quickly with so many hands. |

Then with ropes, each truss was pulled up into into place and set. |
|

The finished project chapel/school. |
