The Parish of Thiotte is in dire need of a parish vehicle.

Father Gaston has requested a 10-seat, 4-door, 4-wheel-drive, V6 diesel run vehicle from a German organization, Adveniat.  For $12,000 US, and a letter from his Bishop, they will send him a vehicle of this description.

This is a critical need of the parish since there are so many chapels that are spread out with very rough roads between them.  The priest must be able to get to his chapels for medical emergencies, chapel services and to attend to the needs of the schools. 

Currently this is the only ambulance in Thiotte.  Can you see the wooden sticks inserted in the bed so that family and friends can carry their sick to the Thiotte clinic.

The people often ask the parish priest to take them to Thiotte when they need to travel there from the towns where they live, especially when they need medical attention.  Otherwise they must travel on foot which can take several hours.  The priest also helps people to get to Port-Au-Prince when the need arises, but there is public transportation to Port-Au-Prince a couple times a week.  Can you help us find $12,000 US?
